Im earning 90k plus per year. Im on work to residence visa . So do i have to wait for my two years or m i eligible for applying permanent residency. Thanks
Dear Jatinder,
For many of our clients, we helped them in applying for Skilled Migrant Residence while they were on a Work to Residence work visa. If you do not wish to wait for two years, you could also consider if you meet the requirements for Skilled Migrant Residence. If you are earning $90k per annum, then we need the following information:
1. How many hours per week do you have to work?
Is this salary based on a 40 hours work week? If yes, then you meet requirements for being employed in a Skilled job as per Skilled Migrant Residence. If your salary is $37.50 per hour or higher then your role will be considered as Skilled despite the ANZSCO classification of your occupation. Alternatively, if you earn $25 per hour or more
2. Does your role meet ANZSCO skill level 1,2 or 3
You may meet the requirements of Skilled Migrant Residence category if your role matches one of the occupations on the ANZSCO.
3. Do you meet the English Language Requirements?
You need to establish if you meet the English language requirements for Skilled Migrant Residence
4. Do you have sufficient points under Skilled Migrant Residence?
You also need to consider if you have sufficient points for Skilled Migrant Residence. If you do, then you can consider applying for a Skilled Migrant Residence
Grant of Permanent Residence visa:
Are you aware that you may actually be granted direct Permanent Residence visa instead of residence visa, if, at the time you apply for residence under Work to Residence policy, your salary is $90k per annum? Considering this, you may actually consider waiting for two years.
