Hi,
Is Assistant manager position good enough to get eligible for an essential skill visa after doing level 8 business? If yes, Will it be granted for 1 year or 3 years or depends on case to case?
If you are asking in context of Essential Skills Work Visa policy, then the answer is most likely 1 year. This is because as per the current trend of Immigration New Zealand, most assistant managers are being considered comparable to that of a Retail Supervisor (depending on the industry you are in). If you are in a non retail or no hospitality industry, you will still face a similar challenge where INZ may determine a similar lower level relevant role as opposed to your claimed ANZSCO role. The term assistant will be used by the INZ visa officer in establishing if you were responsible to perform the duties mentioned in your job duties autonomously or if you were assisting someone else i.e. a manager/owner of the business.
Kind regards
